Ecommerce Challenges

Some people may have concerns when using ecommerce. Since there is no face-to-face interaction between the buyer and the seller, this can make the customer very wary and it can be a confusing experience for those who are accustomed to the more traditional way of shopping. This type of customer may easily change his/her mind when they reach check out, where they have to finalize their purchase; they may even leave before that. Doubt may creep in and it may cause them to question the credibility and integrity of the seller. Or, there might a problem or an error with one of the pages. One has to be cognizant of this type of customer at the onset, because this can prove to be quite a challenge.

One of the key features of ecommerce is shopping carts. This is an essential part of the process and careful consideration should be given to the design and layout. A well-designed and organized shopping cart can make it easy and comfortable, for the customer. Changes in prices should be clearly reflected when an item is added or removed.  A satisfied customer will very likely do repeat buying if their experience is a good and positive one. Every customer wants value for money. They must be able to feel confident and secure when they give out their credit card information.

Our business is not about us; it is about our customers. It is about building and sustaining good customer relationships. Understanding your customer’s needs and making the process simple enough, can cultivate trust and appreciation.
